Here are the steps for coming to Sunday School…
This is a “kids with care-giver” worship gathering in the church auditorium: An adult needs to bring and stay with any kids/youth attending.
Please pre-register: For planning, spacing, and signing purposes, it really helps us if you pre-register. Even if you think you might come, please take the time to pre-register.
Before you leave your house: Please make sure that you are feeling well before heading out to church. If you or anyone in your family thinks that any of you might have been exposed to covid-19, please choose to stay home that day.
For the following 2 weeks: After attending Sunday School, if you find out that you were exposed to covid-19 before coming out on Sunday or if you are unwell and decide to get tested for covid-19, please let us know as soon as possible. Your health information will be held strictly confidential and, if it is felt necessary, folks will be told that they might have been exposed to covid-19. Your name will not be shared.
If you are 12 or older, please bring your proof of full vaccination or a medically certified exemption: If your family has chosen not to be vaccinated, please know that this is a temporary measure to protect the more vulnerable folks in our congregation. You are still an important part of our church family. Not being vaccinated does not mean that you are excluded from pastoral and spiritual care. If this is your family’s situation, please feel free to reach out to one of the ministers.
Please wear an appropriate mask: Your mask, ideally, should be 3-ply. Two layers of cloth, with a filter between the layers. It is important that your mask fits your face snugly and does not routinely slide down off of your nose. Disposable masks are available at the church.
Please Enter by the East Door: This is the door located on the Foodland side of the church building.
Upon arrival: Please come into the building wearing a mask. Please sanitize your hands and check in with the person at the door. They will ask you if you are feeling well and if you might have been exposed to covid-19. They will confirm your name and contact information. Then head down to the auditorium.
Arriving in the auditorium: A second volunteer will greet you. You can show your proof of full vaccination at this point. Then pick up your name tag and head to your family’s designated table.
Physical Distancing: To keep everyone as safe as possible, families will have their own table to sit at. It’s worship cabaret style 😊 Tables will be 2 metres (6-1/2 feet) apart.
Please keep your mask on throughout the gathering.
The gathering will be about 45 minutes.
After church: Exit our time together through the auditorium door.
Visiting after church: You are invited to have a visit with the rest of the congregation after church, on the grassy space between the church and Foodland. For now, we are asking folks to keep their masks on while on church property.
