PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIREMENT FOR PRINCE ALBERT UNITED CHURCH
Effective Sunday, November 21st, there will be some significant changes in covid protocols for worship at Prince Albert United Church, as follows:
No longer need to pre-registration. Your name and contact information will be checked off at the door or added to the worship attendance list for the day. The recording of contact information for those in attendance is still recommended by the Durham Region Health Department.
Covid Screening. Please do not attend worship if you are feeling unwell. You will be screened for symptoms when you arrive at church. If you become unwell after attending church, please let Lorraine Andrews or the church office know. This is especially important if you test positive for covid. It is important that we all do our best to protect not only those attending church, but also our community at large, from potential exposure.
Proof of Vaccination. By decision of the congregation, effective Sunday, November 21st, in order to attend worship, everyone 12 and older must either show or already have shown their proof of full vaccination–either paper copy, screen shot, or Ontario government QR code–to a designated responsible church person (or have shown proof of a valid medical exemption). Many of you have already done so, and are included on our accumulated database. If you are not sure that you are already included, just to be on the safe side, please bring your proof of full vaccination as well as photo ID (driver’s licence or health card).
Jeffrey Street Doors. Everyone, please enter by the Jeffrey Street doors.
Masking. Everyone in the church building must be wearing a mask at all times.
Assigned Seating. Ushers have marked where you are to sit. Please sit where you are asked. Printed orders of service will be placed where you are seated.
Congregational Singing. Seating has been carefully marked, because a fully vaccinated, physically distanced and masked congregation is permitted to sing. The Congregation decided that they do not wish to severely limit attendance Christmas Eve, so congregational singing will not happen at the Christmas Eve service (we plan to sing a few carols outside instead!)
I Am Not Ready To Attend In-Person Worship. No worries at all. Please join us in worship via livestream from Port Perry United Church, found on the church website, beginning on Sunday mornings at 9:50 a.m. Or you can ask the church office for a paper copy of the service to be mailed to you.
I Am Not Vaccinated. Proof of full vaccination is a temporary measure in order to provide an extra layer of protection for our children and those who are immune-compromised. You still are a valued and loved member of our church family. You can join us in worship via livestream, found on the church website, beginning on Sunday mornings at 9:50 a.m. Or you can ask the church office for a paper copy of the service to be mailed to you.
Questions. If you have questions or concerns, you are welcome to call the church office.
