Ministry Team
Ministry at Port Perry United Church is a team effort. From the toddlers in the nursery, to the choir members, to the people sitting in the pews, everyone in our congregation is called to be a disciple of Christ. There is a place for everyone and every gift and skill in our community of faith. We don’t want you to just fill a pew, but rather to fulfill your calling as a child of God!

Ministers

Elaine Hall & Don Willmer
Don and Elaine bring over 20 years of experience in team ministry and have been serving the Port Perry and Prince Albert United Churches since Fall 2011. Both grew up in East York, in the east end of Toronto. They were married in 1992. Ordained in 1994, for the next 7 years they served together in a five-point charge in Cape Breton; this stirred in them a love of rural and small-town life. They then moved to Perth, in eastern Ontario, and spent 10 happy years working half-time each at a two-point charge in Lanark County and raising their young family.
Don practised law many moons ago, and enjoys the varied experiences that ministry offers. Don's passions are music and theatre. He appreciates building relationships among all age groups and bringing our best to God. Above all he enjoys making a joyful noise, be it at home or while leading worship.
Elaine's passions are storytelling and finding God at work in both the big picture and the small details of our lives. Elaine values journeying with people at all ages and stages of their living. She looks for and encourages the Christ light in all whom she meets.
Don and Elaine have 3 children, and live in Port Perry.
