DAY NINETEEN – Wednesday, March 23, 2022
Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23
God sent out his message as a person would sow seeds. Some of his message fell on deaf ears and was lost (or eaten by birds). Some of his message was heard by enthusiastic people, but for what ever reason the message could not endure tough times (scorched by the sun and withered up for they had shallow roots). Some people are concerned about what others think or are too materialistic, or are jealous, or are angry. These people do not internalize God’s message (fell among thorns and we choked). But there are some who try to dedicate their lives to a Christian lifestyle through all kinds of challenges (this message fell on good soil and flourished).
I think that we all strive for this, but we may stumble and fall. For me, I need a quiet peaceful place from time to time to recharge my faith be it in church, walking in nature or watching my grandkids play. It is very difficult to always follow his ways.
