DAY TEN – Saturday, March 4, 2023
Mark 4:1-20
Version 1
Knowing instinctively that there is more to life than you have known and experienced, opens your heart and mind to search for God’s word. Growing and understanding His word may not bear fruit as soon as you expect, but gradually you will realize that to find solace, understanding, and bear fruit you have to “LISTEN AND TRUST” with an open mind and heart to hear and act on God’s words.
Version 2
Moving Day
Alone I wait for the movers to arrive saying goodbye to this short period of my life. I walk from room to room when I hear a voice say “leave the chandelier.” Surprised, I check to make sure I’m still alone. Later in the week when the rooms are almost empty and the moving van almost full, I sit by the cold fireplace awaiting the finish of this day when again I hear a voice say, “leave the chandelier.”
Bob, one of the movers asks “What do you want us to do with the chandelier? I think for a moment realizing I can actually take this beautiful light fixture. Bob tells me the van is full and they will have to make a crate. Oh, I really would like to take it.
The house looked bereft when it was down. It took two years to maintain and sell that house and the chandelier never did reach our new home.
Love, light and peace
